Child and Adolescent Work:
Working with children and adolescents often requires a different skillset and approach than working with adults. Additionally, appreciation for factors such as school and family dynamics are important. In my work with children and adolescents, I appreciate these and other developmental factors in finding workable solutions to many of the challenges these groups face.
Spiritual Needs:
While Dr. Allemagne is not an ordained minister, he has been extensively involved in integrating issues of faith with psychotherapy. Many patients have described challenges associated with their faith, and psychotherapy can be beneficial in addressing those concerns, especially with the use of EMDR therapy. Dr. Allemagne respects everyone’s faith (or non-faith) practices and beliefs, and works with many patients from a variety of backgrounds.
Clinical Supervision:
For individuals with their master’s or doctoral degree in a mental health field, Dr. Allemagne provides clinical supervision of hours toward the candidate becoming independently licensed. Dr. Allemagne is an AAMFT Approved Supervisor and has extensive background and expertise in providing clinical supervision.
